The question that matters
Will it stay on all day?
No switch-hunting routine is needed. Lumos is designed to detect movement in darker spaces, then provide a warm light when it is useful. Actual response can vary with ambient light, placement and the surrounding space.
For the best responsePlace it where the sensor has a clear view of the area you walk through.
